Superior Haunted Trails

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Superior Haunted Trails / Unhallowed Darkness?
Superior Haunted Trails is a company started in 2018. Their first haunt was Camp Superior.
This year Superior Haunted trails presents Unhallowed Darkness as their newest creation.

What are the hours of operation?
Click HERE for hours/dates of operation. Superior Haunted Trails/Unhallowed Darkness will stay open until the last group goes through the haunt… however they must be in line prior to our box office closing time.

What time does the line start forming?
The first couple of weeks in September, arriving at opening time is feasible. However, as Halloween gets closer, the crowds get larger earlier.

How long is the wait in line?
Lines sometimes are immediate access or up to 1-2 hours. The last two weekends of October the lines will be much longer. Visiting Superior Haunted Trails/Unhallowed Darkness our first couple of weeks in September or the first couple weeks of October would most likely avoid the long lines. Sunday evenings would be a good option as well.

How long does it take to go through the haunted attraction?
This will depend on your speed. You go through at your own pace so the length of experience varies from group to group. A rough estimate would be 20 to 30 minutes.

If I get there 5 minutes before closing and I bought a ticket will UNHALLOWED DARKNESS close before I get the chance to enter the haunt?
The trail will keep running until the last patron has exited. So long as you are in line when the box office closes, you are granted entry to the haunt.

Can I make a reservation?
No, Superior Haunted Trails/Unhallowed Darkness will be first come, first served. You do have the option of purchasing a Fast Pass or VIP ticket to ensure a speedy entry.

Does Superior Haunted Trails/Unhallowed Darkness accept credit cards?
Yes, our box office accepts Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover.

Can I buy ticket in advance?
Yes - just CLICK HERE

Is there a way to avoid waiting in line?
We offer VIP passes which will take precedence over General Admission and Fast Pass which will bypass General Admission.

  • GENERAL ADMISSION – your wait time will depend on the size of the crowd that particular evening. This line will be first come, first served.
  • FAST PASS – this will be a second line where patrons will bypass the longer “general admission” line and have a much quicker entry. FAST PASS guests will rotate at front of line with general admission guests. Still a much quicker alternative.
  • VIP PASS – up front parking and immediate entry.

NOTE: It is very difficult to predict if VIP and Fast Pass tickets will be necessary. The longest lines will be Friday and Saturday evenings. Weather can also result in much shorter lines. No refunds are given on VIP Passes or Fast Pass tickets if there is no line when you arrive.

Is there a size limit on groups going through the haunt?
Superior Haunted Trails/Unhallowed Darkness is designed for groups of 6 or less at one entrance. Large groups will not be permitted to enter all at once. In the event that your group is larger than 6 people, you will be split and admitted in multiple groups. Groups will not be allowed to merge while in the haunt as well. We have limited the group size to make the experience more personal for all attendants as well as the actors.

Are the monsters allowed to touch you?
The actors in Superior Haunted Trails/Unhallowed Darkness will only touch you if you are wearing a TERROR TAG. Because of the closeness of their working conditions and your unknown reaction, incidental contact could occur. Ticket upgrade required to obtain a TERROR TAG.

**** BE AWARE **** IF YOU PURCHASE A TERROR TAG… YOU MAY BE KIDNAPPED BY ONE OF OUR ACTORS. IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO BE KIDNAPPED, YOU MAY WANT TO REFRAIN FROM PURCHASING A TERROR TAG. IF YOU ARE CHOSEN TO BE KIDNAPPED, PLEASE DO NOT RESIST OR BE COMBATIVE. YOU WILL NOT BE HARMED AND YOU WILL BE TAKEN TO A LOCATION FOR YOUR GROUP TO FIND YOU AFTER THEY EXIT THE HAUNT.

*** ALSO NOTE *** IF YOU PURCHASE A TERROR TAG… IT DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU ARE GUARANTEED TO BE KIDNAPPED. ONLY 4 PEOPLE WILL BE KIDNAPPED PER HOUR. YOU MUST BE WEARING A TERROR TAG TO BE ELIGIBLE.

Carrying children through is NOT allowed. Everyone entering the haunt must have a ticket. Bring younger before 7:30 for a less scary experience.

Are there any special pricing for children?
